Surgeon Had Patients Billed for His Sex Calls, Police Say

TORRINGTON, Conn. —
A surgeon had four patients billed for $320 in calls he made to telephone sex lines, police say. Dr. Albert Torres, 44, turned himself in Tuesday. He was charged with criminal impersonation, larceny and computer crime.
Police said he was accused of using information from patient accounts to have others billed for his calls.
