Chapman University Plans Religion Forum
A conference on “Gender and Love in the World Religions,” with scholars from 23 universities around the world, will be held this week at Chapman University.
Sponsored by the department of religious studies, the conference will focus on sex, love and the role of women in religions.
The conference will be opened at 7 p.m. Wednesday by Julius Lipner, a professor of divinity at Cambridge University in England, whose speech is titled, “Consuming Fire: The God of Love, and the Love of God.”
Lipner will speak in Room 209 of the Argyros Forum at Chapman University, 333 N. Glassell St. The conference continues through Friday and is free. Information: (714) 628-7326.
