Volunteers Sought by Literacy Group

Laubach Literacy will offer a free workshop series to train volunteers to tutor adults studying English as a second language.

The daylong workshops will begin at 9 a.m. on May 2 and May 9 at Starbucks, 540 Las Posas Road.

A follow-up workshop will take place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on June 6.

It is necessary to attend all three workshops to receive certification.

No teaching experience or non-English language skills are necessary.

The series will train volunteers to teach reading, writing and pronunciation to non-English speakers.
