FBI Sends More JFK Records to Archives
The FBI sent an additional 17,945 pages of documents about the assassination of President Kennedy, including some about organized crime and Cuba, to the National Archives facility in College Park. The bureau said it has now turned over more than 683,000 documents related to the assassination. In the most recent transfer, 1,596 pages contained material that was edited out and will not be disclosed. The FBI said it requested many of these deletions “to protect sensitive sources, particularly those who, in exchange for confidentiality, provided information on organized crime and Cuban matters.” The latest documents will be available to the public May 13.
