Pop star BECK HANSEN, known simply as Beck, has purchased a Pasadena home for just under $1.3 million, sources say.

Beck, 27, won two Grammys and five MTV awards last year. The singer-songwriter, whose platinum album “Odelay” features the hit single “Devil’s Haircut,” is known for creating new sounds in music, synthesizing hip-hop, funk, blues, country, folk, pop and rock.

He had been living in the Los Feliz area, not far from where he grew up, in a small apartment with his father, a bluegrass musician, and his mother, a performance artist-singer, sources say.

Beck bought a 5,200-square-foot house on slightly more than an acre with a pool and city and mountain views. Built in the 1950s, the post-and-beam house is in a wooded area with rolling hills.

The house was sold after being on the market for one day, and there were multiple offers, sources say.

Mark Ogden of Podley, Caughey & Doan, Pasadena, represented Beck, and Maureen Hollingsworth, William Wilson Co. in Pasadena, had the listing, other sources said.

SHELLEY FABARES, who played Craig T. Nelson’s wife on the popular ABC sitcom “Coach” (1989-97), and her husband, actor-producer-director MIKE FARRELL, have sold their honeymoon house in Sherman Oaks to a woman who spent the first five years of her life in the home.

“It was the first house we owned together, and we lived there happily and loved it,” said Farrell, who played B.J. Hunnicutt on the CBS series “MASH” from 1975 to 1983. Fabares started her acting career as the daughter on “The Donna Reed Show” (1958-63).

Farrell and Fabares bought the house in 1985, shortly after they were married. When they contemplated having his mother live with them, they realized they needed more room.

“We thought of adding on, but then Shelley came home and said, ‘I have a house you must see.’ That’s when we bought the place we have now [in Studio City],” he said. “It has a separate unit on the property that we were able to convert to a home for my mother.”

They kept the Sherman Oaks house while they renovated the Studio City home, then they leased out their honeymoon cottage for two years before putting it on the market.

“That’s when an extraordinary thing happened,” Farrell said. “A woman came to see the house and fell in love with it, but it wasn’t until we were in negotiations that we heard that she was born while her parents were living there.”

She even sent them photos of herself as a child in the house, which her parents built. “We were thrilled to think that someone was buying the house who would love it as much as we had,” he said, “but then we had trouble getting the tenants out.” The buyers--the woman and her fiance--stuck with the deal until escrow closed earlier this year.

Built in 1950, the 3,300-square-foot colonial-style farmhouse sold for $500,000. It has three fireplaces, a country kitchen and brick floors.

Connie Nelson and Sonny Fox had the listing, and Lori Marks was the selling agent. All are with Coldwell Banker-Jon Douglas Co., Studio City.

KEN KRAGEN, the talent manager who masterminded the 1985 benefit project “We Are the World,” and his wife, actress CATHY WORTHINGTON, have sold their Holmby Hills home for about $5 million, sources say.

Kragen, a 30-year entertainment industry veteran, has managed such stars as Kenny Rogers, Travis Tritt and Trisha Yearwood.

Kragen and his wife sold their home because they bought a 10,000-square-foot house that is under construction in a nearby gated community, sources say.

Built in the 1980s, the house they sold has six bedrooms and a projection room in about 7,300 square feet. It is country traditional in style with a tennis court and pool, all behind gates. The couple also has a ranch in Paso Robles, sources say.

Constance Chestnut of Coldwell Banker-Jon Douglas Co., Beverly Hills, had the listing, and Jeff Hyland and Rick Hilton of Hilton & Hyland, Beverly Hills, represented the buyers, other sources said.

ALAN LADD JR., who headed such studios as MGM/UA before signing with Paramount to develop and co-produce such movies as the Oscar-winning “Braveheart” (1995), and his wife, Cindra, have sold their Holmby Hills home for $11 million, sources say.

Built in 1938, the house was once owned by the late vaudeville comedian Fanny Brice. It was remodeled after the Ladds bought it for $8 million in 1982, sources say.

The English-style 10,000-square-foot house is on two acres across the street from where the producer was raised, sources have said. He is the son of 1940s and ‘50s film star Alan Ladd, who died in 1964.

The buyers have been described as a businessman and his wife. They were represented by Joyce Flaherty of Coldwell Banker-Jon Douglas Co., Beverly Hills, and the Ladds were represented by Delphine Mann of the same realty company, other sources said.

PIERRE COSSETTE, longtime producer of the Grammy Awards and producer of the Broadway musicals “The Will Rogers Follies” and “The Scarlet Pimpernel,” has sold his Malibu home of 10 years to producer HAIM SABAN for nearly $8 million, sources say.

Saban is producer of the children’s TV show “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.” He also heads Fox Kids Worldwide, which includes Saban Entertainment, the Family Channel and Fox Children’s Network.

Cossette sold his Malibu home because he and his wife, Mary, are spending more time in New York, sources say. When in California, they will stay in their Beverly Hills condo, a source said.

A Palm Springs home that belonged to silent screen star HAROLD LLOYD for many years has been listed at $1.2 million.

Walled and gated, the five-bedroom estate is on an acre and has a remodeled 4,000-square-foot main house and a 1,200-square-foot guest cottage.

Lloyd built the house in the 1920s and maintained it through the 1960s without air-conditioning or a pool, which were added later, sources say. Lloyd died at 77 in 1971.

Serge Gomez and Toni Martin of Fred Sands Desert Realty in Palm Springs share the listing.
