Spotlight: Toyota Names 5 Minority, Female Dealers

Toyota Motor Sales USA, the Torrance-based U.S. sales arm of the Japanese auto maker, named five new dealers, including Utah Jazz basketball star Karl Malone and former San Francisco 49er football players Ronnie Lott and Keena Turner, as it seeks to increase minority- and female-owned dealerships. Three will be controlled by blacks, one by a woman and one by a Chinese American. Earlier this year, the Rev. Jesse Jackson and others criticized certain auto makers for the dearth of minority dealers.
