Serbian police and ethnic Albanian separatists clashed along Kosovo’s border with Albania, where more than 100 separatists were apparently trapped after fighting that killed 10 Albanians and wounded four police officers. The latest fighting began Sunday around Ponosevac, 45 miles southwest of Pristina, the capital of Serbia’s southern province of Kosovo. Sporadic shooting was heard Monday, and Serbian sources said police had surrounded the village, where the ethnic Albanian militants were barricaded in houses. The militants were desperately trying to break through the siege, reportedly shooting at vehicles traveling in the region.
