* Woodland Hills-based Panavision Inc. reported first-quarter net income of $2.5 million, or 13 cents per diluted share, compared with $3.5 million, or 18 cents, a year ago. The movie-camera maker said earnings were helped by its North American business but hurt by softness in British operations because of a shortage of major studio features being filmed in Britain during the quarter.
