Mistaken Identity

Re “Man Comes Back to Life on Day of his Funeral,” May 3:

How arrogant, pompous and condescending the coroner’s office was in telling Ronnie Blakeney that her husband was dead. According to the article, the investigator was told that Mrs. Blakeney knew her husband did not use drugs (she had been married to him for quite some time). Also, his wallet had been reported lost, so having his identification was not conclusive.

She was told she could not see the body in the initial stages of this mess. It is easy to pass blame, but it seems to me this was all really so needless. Had they let her see him it would have stopped there!
