The Boyle Heights Neighbors’ Organization is holding a community meeting tonight to discuss applying for city grants to fund neighborhood improvement projects.
The group is considering applying for a matching grant from the city’s public works department to finance walkway beautification along some of the more blighted streets in the neighborhood.
The year-old residents’ group recently worked with the city to get a street signal installed on 1st and Breed streets to slow down traffic at the busy intersection.
Tonight’s meeting will be held at 6 at Las Palomas Apartments at 2201 E. 1st Street.
