Eastern States Look for Some Rain Relief

From Times Wire Reports

Rain fell in some states along the Eastern seaboard for the 12th and 13th consecutive day, the National Weather Service reported. But hopes that the drenching would stop rose as drier, slightly cooler air slipped in from the Northeast and the rain tapered off. Showers soaked Maryland, Virginia, Delaware and New Jersey, and New York recorded its 13th consecutive rainy day. After four days of rain in New Jersey, flood waters began to recede, although some people remained out of their homes. About three dozen families in Passaic County were hit hard and abandoned their homes.
