Federal Employment Workshop Scheduled
Caricabela, a Caribbean/Latin cultural and business organization, will host a federal employment information workshop Saturday that will provide workshop attendees with information on procedures for applying for jobs, testing information, job qualifications, hiring procedures, job classifications and information on available positions.
Representatives from the U.S Customs Service, Immigration and Naturalization Service, Department of Agriculture and the Fish and Wildlife department will present information on their respective agencies. The INS will discuss the more than 100 new jobs they plan to add over the next few months to reduce the backlog of pending citizenship applications.
The workshop is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon at the Furama Hotel at 8601 Lincoln Blvd. in Westchester. Call for reservations.
