Merrill Lynch Gives $2.4 Million in Grants
The Merrill Lynch Foundation has awarded nearly $2.4 million in grants to 29 nonprofit and community-based organizations in Orange and Los Angeles counties.
The grants are part of Merrill Lynch’s Southern California Partnership for Economic Achievement, a $77-million pilot program aimed at creating financial opportunities for ethnically diverse communities in both counties, foundation officials said.
Among the Orange County recipients: 100 Black Men of Orange County, $50,000; Santa Ana Unified School District, $20,000; and Vietnamese Community of Orange County, $75,000.
