Getting The Message

Motorola has introduced the Express Luna FLX, the only pager that glows in the dark. That and other features made it a winner of an Innovations ’98 Award from the Design and Engineering Honors Program sponsored by the Electronic Industries Assn.

The FLX can accommodate as many as 20 numeric messages, which can be stored in the memory mode, so messages won’t be lost when the unit is turned off. When messages are received, the pager can notify users in one of seven selectable musical alerts or in the silent vibration mode.

Other features include a time and date display screen, time stamping to notify users when a page is received and a built-in alarm clock that doubles as an appointment reminder.

Express Luna FLX, with a suggested retail price of $105, comes in two colors: Eclipse (black with glow-in-the-dark highlights) and Blue Moon (blue with glowing highlights). Contact: Motorola at (800) 548-9954.
