Share

Asian exports to the U.S. rose 17.9% through the Port of Long Beach in April from a year earlier, as Asia’s depressed currencies fueled a wave of inexpensive exports from the region. Asia’s exports through the largest U.S. port have risen 18.3% since the beginning of the year, after March’s 34.1% jump. Figures from the second-largest U.S. port, the adjacent Port of Los Angeles, aren’t yet available. Last month, Los Angeles reported a 39.6% rise from Asia.
