Permit Parking OKd in Fern Avenue Area
Responding to complaints about parking congestion from a nearby apartment complex, the City Council has approved permit parking for homes off Fern Avenue.
The resident-only parking zones will be added on Ravenswood Drive from Fern to Gaymont Street; Gaymont extending north from Ravenswood to the cul-de-sac; and, the west side of Fern from Ball Road to Ravenswood.
The city received a petition with signatures of 85% of the homeowners in support of the permits. In requesting the permit, residents cited that overcrowded apartments on Fern result in illegal parking, trash left in streets and on sidewalks and lawns.
