College Plans Day for Instant Enrollment

Share

The Ventura campus of Cal State Northridge will give qualified undergraduate students a last-chance opportunity to enroll for fall classes June 3.

During the event, known as Instant Admission Day, qualified students can gain immediate admission to the university for the fall semester.

Students are eligible if they have a minimum of 56 transferable undergraduate units, have completed Cal State general education transfer requirements and have an overall grade-point average of 2.0 or better.

Donna Crowley, a clerical assistant at the university, said the local CSUN campus is near 100% capacity in admission applications and will close the process soon.

Last year about 200 students took advantage of Instant Admission Day.

“This year we’re expecting the same,” Crowley said, “but we’re hoping for more.”

Prospective students should bring official transcripts from all previous college courses to the Ventura CSUN campus June 3 from 1 to 6 p.m. The university will charge a onetime $55 application fee but will provide fee waivers for qualified low-income applicants.

Reservations are recommended. Call 654-4575 for reservations or more information.
