Landscaping Project Enters Final Stage

The final phase of a landscaping project surrounding a new Camarillo housing development got underway Thursday, with the planting of exotic plants, shrubbery and shade trees.

On freshly graded dirt lining Adolfo Road near Mission Oaks Boulevard, workers from Valencia-based Landscape Development Inc. planted more than 1,000 myoporum plants, 12 types of shrubs and sycamore and pine trees, said project manager Tom McDaniel.

Installation of the plush landscaping surrounding the Adolfo Glenn housing community was part of the construction agreement between the housing developer and city officials and is expected to be completed by mid-June.
