Car Chase TV

* I have a major media solution for our fair city. What we need is a “car chase channel” available on cable and/or satellite. That way, those who want to watch the lunatic of the day stage a totally unwinnable effort can tune in, and the rest of us can continue on with our regular programming.

Think of it: With so much of our commercial economy in Los Angeles devoted to the automobile, there would be no shortage of sponsors. Car dealers, auto supply stores, mechanics, gas stations. Even cellular/digital phone carriers could offer free service to the next idiot who tries this, so he can communicate directly with the helicopter that’s circling him. I would even pay a few bucks more a month to Media One to get this garbage off every local channel it carries. Anybody with me on this?
