Sheriff’s and police departments in Simi Valley, Oxnard and Ventura reported no major injury accidents or traffic incidents Saturday afternoon.

People trekking today to such events as the Cajun Creole Music Festival at Tapo Canyon Road and Los Angeles Avenue in Simi Valley or to one of the many Memorial Day remembrance services planned throughout the county Monday can expect near-perfect weather.

There will be some morning low clouds and patchy fog but otherwise sunny skies and afternoon sea breezes today and Monday, said Rob Krohn, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service in Oxnard.

Daytime high temperatures in the county will be in the low 70s, and nighttime lows will be in the low 50s, Krohn said.

The high temperature Saturday in Simi Valley was 74 degrees.

It was 69 in Ventura, 71 in Oxnard and 66 at Point Migu.

Ojai had a high temperature of 72 degrees.
