The Bullfrogs have traded goaltender David Goverde to Tampa Bay for for defenseman Tom Menicci and goaltender Sergei Nemoff, President and General Manager Stuart Silver said Wednesday.

Goverde, who was on the Bullfrogs’ Roller Hockey International championship in 1997, was considered expendable because Rob Laurie, a three-time RHI all-star goaltender, agreed to terms. The Bullfrogs begin their first Major League Roller Hockey season June 12.

Menicci, who was drafted by Tampa Bay May 19 in the MLRH draft, has played with the Bullfrogs for two years. Nemoff played for Central Texas of the Western Professional Hockey League last winter.
