Ways to Get Your Body in Gear

Feeling sluggish, like you’re not getting enough exercise? You’re probably more active than you think. And there are some easy ways to increase the activity in your day:

* Walk or ride a bike rather than drive the car when you need to run small errands.

* Get off your rear and play volleyball or horseshoes or badminton or some other fun game. It’s the weekend, enjoy it.

* Play actively with your kids or your pooch.

* Go for a walk at lunch instead of going, say, shopping for clothes. (Come on--do you really need another pair of black pumps? Another Mickey Mouse tie?)

* Park more than a stone’s throw from the grocery store entrance or work.
