LA PALMA

The Young Adult Teen Committee and Youth 20/20 are collecting donated items for the less fortunate. Items needed include canned or boxed foods and other new possessions, such as small toys, school supplies, hygiene articles, candy and clothes. Donations can be left at La Palma United Methodist Church, until Friday. Drop-off times are from 9 a.m. to noon, 1 to 3 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Pickups can be arranged by calling (714) 522-6740. Young helpers also are needed to sort the donations Saturday, from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The church is at 8111 Walker St.
