From Times Wire Reports

Five snowmobilers who burned their cash, credit cards and wallets to stay warm after they were forced to spend the night near Mt. Bachelor in Oregon were found in good condition. The men, who had been snowmobiling together for five years, apparently became stuck in snow near Moon Lake on Saturday afternoon and didn’t return by dark. Friends notified authorities, who found nothing that night. The men tried to walk out Saturday night, but realized they would have to spend the night. Although experienced snowmobilers, the men were not prepared for an extended stay in the snow. Wayne Inman, a search and rescue coordinator, said the men still managed to build a makeshift shelter and sacrificed their personal possessions in the fire. They were found about 2:15 p.m. after they found some other snowmobilers with a cell phone.
