ANIMAL BLESSING: The Metropolitan Community Church, 5730 Cahuenga Blvd., North Hollywood, will host a special day for animals from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today featuring blessing of animals, live or pictures, memorial services for deceased pets, a presentation on animal first aid, pet adoptions, a mobile groomer and photographer and displays from various nonprofit groups that care for animals.
