Jeffrey L. Moreno; Operating Engineer
Oak View resident Jeffrey L. Moreno died unexpectedly Thursday. He was 46.
Moreno was born July 21, 1952, in Ventura and was a lifelong county resident. He graduated from Ventura High School in 1970.
Moreno worked as an operating engineer for 25 years and was employed by Sully Miller Construction Co. He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 12, his family said.
Moreno enjoyed hunting, barbecues and spending time with friends.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Moreno of Oak View; his daughter, Megan Moreno of Oak View; his parents, Ralph and Barbara Moreno of Ventura; three sisters, Dorothy Lovingood of Camarillo, Becky Grove of Oak View, and Penny Collins of Santa Barbara; a grandmother, Dorothy Allen of Ventura; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were pending but will be arranged by Joseph P. Reardon Funeral Home in Ventura.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to help with Megan’s education.
