It Helped to Remember Mom’s Diet Is Infant’s

I stopped looking at the scale after I gained 50 pounds. When I topped the scale at 200, I considered the possibility that my baby might turn out to be a small elephant! I had a long road of weight loss ahead of me to get back to my original weight of 137.
Since I chose to breast-feed my child, I considered every piece of food going into my body as something going into my baby’s body. Did I really want her to have cake? (Sometimes yes!) Next, I started an exercise routine. Three days a week of weight lifting, five days a week doing cardiovascular exercises for 45 minutes. Four months into my exercise program, the weight was off.
