Hospital Plans Annual Baby Olympics, Picnic
Youngsters, many who were born prematurely or were critically ill as infants, will gather Sunday in Saddleback Memorial Medical Center’s second annual Baby Olympics and Picnic at Laguna Niguel Regional Park.
The children, ranging from newborn to age 6, also will be reunited with the doctors and nurses who saved their lives.
The public event, from noon to 3 p.m., is a part of the hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit reunion. There will be food, raffle prizes, face painting, a marionette show and ribbons and medals for all participants. The event is free, but there is a $4 fee per car for parking, and space is limited.
