WHAT ARE YOU DRINKING?

“One of the great bottles of wine I’ve had recently was Viader’s 1994 ‘Deer Park Vineyard.’ What is interesting is that it has no Cabernet Sauvignon in it. It’s all Cabernet Franc and Merlot. I liked that it didn’t have the harsh tannins you find in young Cabernet Sauvignon. It was very velvety and had very nice berry and currant fruit.”
