* I was so saddened by the two racially xenophobic letters printed Oct. 4 in response to your series on how Orange County is ethnically changing into the 21st century.
How uplifting to find an interracial couple on the front page of your Health section Oct. 12. I applaud your Health editor for presenting in an indirect and healthy way the overwhelming fact that our mortality unites us all.
We could certainly do a lot more for our children in the next century if we focused more on what can heal us. Those who fear and hate ethnic diversity are wasting a lot of precious time.
