Red Cross Offering Free Flu Inoculations

The American Red Cross is offering free flu shots to senior citizens and those with chronic illnesses or weakened immune systems.

Volunteer Red Cross nurses will give the free shots through mid-December at several Valley sites, Red Cross spokeswoman Lourdes del Rio II said.

* Valley Store Front, 12821 Victory Blvd., North Hollywood.

Monday, 9 to 11 a.m.

* West Valley Jewish Community Center, 22622 Vanowen St., West Hills.

Tuesday, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.

* Fickett Towers, 14801 Sherman Way, Van Nuys.

Wednesday, 10 a.m. to noon.

* Valley Presbyterian Hospital, 15107 Vanowen St., Van Nuys.

Thursday, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

* San Fernando Valley Japanese American Community Center, 12953 Branford St., Sun Valley.

Friday, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

* Joslyn Senior Center, 1301 W. Olive Ave., Burbank.

Oct. 26: 9 to 11 a.m.
