Health Care Property Investors Inc.: The Newport Beach health care real estate investment trust recorded net income of $24.5 million, or 72 cents a share, for the third quarter, which included a gain of $6.2 million from the sale of real estate properties. That was 57% higher than the $15.6 million, or 54 cents a share, posted a year ago. Funds from operations rose 15% to a record $26 million, or 77 cents a share, from $22.7 million, or 72 cents a share, for the like period last year. Revenue rose 31% to $42.2 million from $32.3 million.
