New Section, New Home for Gardening, Remodeling

Next Sunday, a new six-day-a-week feature section, Southern California Living, will debut in The Times.

SoCal Living will celebrate the Southland home and garden on Thursdays, and the gardening and remodeling articles that now appear in Real Estate will move to SoCal Living’s Home section.

Moving to a new home on Nov. 5 will be Garden Editor Robert Smaus’ feature stories, his In the Garden essays and his Garden Q&A; column as well as the “Pardon Our Dust”remodeling articles by Kathy Price-Robinson.

“Living With Wildlife” by Andrea Kitay, “The Sensible Home” by James Dulley and other home improvement stories will also shift to Thursday SoCal Living.

The Real Estate section will focus on issues and trends in the Southland housing market and continue to offer reliable consumer advice on buying, selling and financing single-family homes and condos in Southern California. Topics of importance to renters also will be covered in weekly columns.
