New President Begins Work at Concordia

Concordia University recently welcomed a new president, the Rev. Dr. Jacob A.O. Preus.

He has worked as a professor of systematic theology and dean of faculty for Concordia Seminary in St. Louis. He also served as liaison to the Seminary’s Hispanic Institute of Theology. Before joining the seminary in 1986, he was a pastor for Lutheran congregations in California and Missouri. As a chaplain in the U.S. Navy Reserves, Preus served in Operation Desert Storm.
