Safety Fair to Help Prepare Children for Halloween
Residents who are worried about letting their children go trick-or-treating this Halloween can get free safety tips at a Los Angeles County sheriff’s fair Saturday, a deputy said.
Besides learning about public safety, parents can take their children to Fourth Avenue School to participate in costume wearing or coloring contests while they get free hot dogs, Deputy Elsa Avila said.
Sheriff’s deputies will also demonstrate bike, fire and railroad safety from 2 to 6 p.m. at the East Los Angeles school, 461 S. Amalia Ave.
