Fiona Apple’s boyfriend, “Boogie Nights” director Philip Thomas Anderson, is directing the video for the singer’s version of the Beatles’ “Across the Universe,” which will be featured on the soundtrack of the movie “Pleasantville.” Apple has also recorded Percy Mayfield’s “Please Send Me Someone to Love” for the film. . . .
A third album is underway for Bush, which has reunited with Clive Langer and Alan Winstanley, the producers of their huge debut “16 Stone.” Singer Gavin Rossdale has 20 new songs ready to go.
