People use computers to perform an array of tasks, from conducting scientific experiments and creating movie special effects to communicating with people around the world. We’re used to seeing computers on our desks at home, school and work but one of the first computers, the ENIAC in 1945, took up 1,000 square feet of floor space and used 160 kilowatts of power.
