ORANGE COUNTY EARNINGS

Bridgford Foods Corp.: The Anaheim producer of convenience food products said net income for the third fiscal quarter increased 24% to $2.1 million, or 20 cents a share, from $1.7 million, or 16 cents a share, for the comparable period last year. Sales for the quarter ended July 31 rose 2% to $31.8 million from $31.2 million. Net income for the first three quarters advanced 39% to $6.1 million, or 59 cents a share, from $4.4 million, or 43 cents a share, for the corresponding nine months of the prior year. Sales were up 7% to $99.6 million from $93.5 million.
