Times have been a changin’ on college campuses. What were same sex dorms in 1967 are now coed. Love beads have been replaced by navel rings, typewriters with PCs, vinyl with CDs. Bobbie Gentry’s “Ode to Billy Jo” was the nation’s hit single when freshmen arrived on campus after the Summer of Love. Last fall, it was “Mo’ Money Mo’ Problems” by Notorious B.I.G. Responding to a survey on college lifestyle, last year’s freshmen pointed out other differences: They studied less than their predecessors, for instance, but they exercised more and partied less. A sample of some changes:
