Gas Prices

Share

Re “State Motorists Get Another Jolt at Gas Pumps,” March 27: Attorney general, where are you? As soon as OPEC announced a per barrel oil price increase, the very next day gas prices went up! Supplies had not dwindled and the tankers were not even filled at the new price. And most stations went up the same amount. Where are our attorney general and our antitrust protections?

In the same vein, a refinery explosion up north happens to one company and all gas stations go up in price! Again, the very next day!

It’s funny in a sad sort of way that people are always so amazed and chagrined when gas prices go up. They should know by now that glut or no glut gas prices are perpetually entwined around the thermometer. Summer’s coming, temperature rises, gas prices levitate!
