Powerwave Technologies Inc.: The Irvine supplier of amplifiers for use in wireless communications networks posted net income of $2.1 million, or 11 cents a share, for the first quarter, down 5% from the year-earlier figure of $2.2 million, or 13 cents a share. Revenue more than doubled to a record $56 million from $22.7 million.
