* “Credit Problems/Credit Solutions,” a seminar by the Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Ventura County, will focus on how to solve credit problems and get a copy of your credit report.

* “Capital Market Connection,” a workshop by the Gold Coast Small Business Development Center, will be from 8 a.m. to noon Friday at the Holiday Inn in Thousand Oaks. The focus will be on loan programs available in Ventura County.

* Oxnard College’s Center for Economic & Community Development will hold a workshop for minority and disadvantaged business owners from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Contract Training Lab on campus, 4000 S. Rose Ave.
The program will provide information on reforms in federal procurement procedures that will go into effect July 1. Information also will be provided on how to qualify for the newly designated Small Disadvantaged Business Status.

* The Ventura County chapter of the National Assn. of Catering Executives will meet at 5:30 p.m. April 27 at Santa Barbara City College. The program is on culinary scholarships.
