The Police Department’s newest member--a German shepherd--finished a five-week training course last week. Carlo will be one of two dogs helping the city’s police on patrol; he replaces Ajax, who retired in February. Carlo was born and trained in the Czech Republic. The dog responds only to commands in Czech.
