Defendants, Victims and the Charges

A list of the defendants, the charges and the victims in the Asian Boyz murder case:

* Bunthoeun Roeung, 22: convicted of three murders, seven attempted murders and one count of conspiracy to commit murder. Killed Armando Estrada and Miguel Limon on April 14, 1995, and Rogelio Ferman on July 23, 1995. On Wednesday, jurors deadlocked on death penalty.

* Sothi Menh, 23: convicted of three murders, seven attempted murders and one count of conspiracy to commit murder. Killed Estrada and Limon, and killed Rogelio Ferman on July 23, 1995. On Wednesday, jurors deadlocked on death penalty.

* Roatha Buth, 26: convicted of five murders, two attempted murders and one count of conspiracy to commit murder. Killed Estrada and Limon, and killed Chen Peng, Paul Vu and Ben Liao on Aug. 1, 1995. On Wednesday, jurors deadlocked on death penalty.

* Son Thanh Bui, 22: convicted of six murders, eight attempted murders and two counts of conspiracy to commit murder. Killed Estrada, Limon, Ferman, Peng, Vu and Liao. On Wednesday, jurors deadlocked on death penalty.

* David Evangalista, 23: convicted of one murder, six attempted murders and one count of conspiracy to commit murder. Killed Ferman. Jurors declined to convict him of multiple murder, which would have qualified him for the death penalty; sentenced to six consecutive life terms.

* Ky Tony Ngo, 22: convicted of one murder, six attempted murders and one count of conspiracy to commit murder. He killed Ferman. Sentenced to six life terms.

* Kimorn Nuth, 19: convicted of five murders, two attempted murders and one count of conspiracy to commit murder. Killed Estrada, Limon, Peng, Vu and Liao. Sentenced to life without possibility of parole.

* Marvin Mercado, who is still at large, is charged with six murders, 12 attempted murders and four counts of conspiracy to commit murder. He is alleged to have killed Estrada, Limon, Peng, Vu, and Liao, as well as Oscar Palis on Aug. 26, 1995.
