Senior Vice President Named for Sanwa’s Commercial Banking Unit

* Steven M. Takei has been named a senior vice president and regional manager in the newly reorganized commercial banking division of Sanwa Bank California, the Los Angeles-based subsidiary of Japan’s Sanwa Bank. Takei’s appointment stems from a bankwide management restructuring begun in January when Sanwa changed its corporate structure to include two distinct business units--a retail bank and a commercial bank.

Takei, a former senior vice president at Wachovia Bank in Atlanta, will oversee Sanwa’s commercial branches and business banking centers throughout the Southland.

* Cynthia Wornham, former manager of public affairs for J. Paul Getty Trust and Getty Center, has joined Ruder Finn Arts & Communications Counselors as senior vice president and director of the unit’s West Coast operation. She will be based in Los Angeles. Ruder Finn Arts is a subsidiary of New York-based public relations firm Ruder Finn Inc.
