Golden Gavel

Judge Judy is a breath of fresh air in a society that nurtures irresponsibility (“Yes She’s a Hit (Get Over It!),” by David Gritten, Aug. 1).

She is the strict and common-sense parent of the court, and I applaud her for saying aloud what many people think. Her wisdom and experience has made her a Solomon of the ‘90s, and anyone who can be a family law judge for 15-plus years deserves a standing ovation.

What is most endearing is her absolute allegiance to children and their welfare, something this me generation needs reminding. If there were more Judge Judys on the bench, there would be no court backlog.
