Your business isn’t ready to do transactions over the Internet? Don’t worry. Apparently lots of other folks aren’t in a hurry, either.

The American Electronics Assn. next month holds its annual Web marketing conference in Costa Mesa, and in promoting the daylong seminar distributed full-color, glossy brochures hyping how the event will teach “how to get the most out of your Web presence and improve your company’s Web efforts immediately.”

Go to the organization’s Web site to find information about the event or to register for it, however, and you’re out of luck, presented instead with the comforting “under construction” message.
