Westcorp Selling Mortgage Unit

Irvine-based Westcorp Inc. said Wednesday it agreed to sell its WestWorks Mortgage unit to California Mortgage Service. Financial terms weren’t disclosed.
Westcorp said the action will enable it to meet long-term profit goals and strategic objectives.
Westcorp is a holding company for WFS Financial Inc. and Western Financial Bank.
