Vitesse Semiconductor Announces Vice Presidents

Vitesse Semiconductor Corp. in Camarillo has promoted Jeff Weigel to vice president of strategic accounts.

Officials also announced that Ken Jones has joined the company as vice president and general manager of the automatic test equipment division.

Weigel will be responsible for helping emerging communication companies learn about Vitesse’s products and working with them to develop the next generation of communication equipment.

Weigel began his career at Vitesse in 1985 as the company’s first sales person. Since that time, he has served as director of Western area sales and European sales manager. In 1997, Weigel became the company’s director of strategic accounts.

Jones comes to Vitesse from MicroModule Systems, where he was director of sales and marketing. Prior to that he held several marketing and engineering management positions with LTX Corp.

Vitesse makes integrated circuits for telecommunications, data communications and automatic test equipment manufacturers. It has headquarters in Camarillo and fabrication facilities in Camarillo and Colorado Springs, Colo.
