From Times Wire Reports

A former army general from Argentina’s military dictatorship was detained as part of an investigation into the disappearances of 200 babies born to dissidents held captive during the “dirty war” years. Police escorted Guillermo Suarez Mason to a military jail after an appearance in a Buenos Aires court, where he was questioned about whether members of the armed forces kidnapped and changed the identities of babies born in clandestine detention centers during the military’s 1976-83 reign.
